Brian founded TANE in 2002 and has steadily grown the company over the past 15 years, culminating with a spot on the 2017 “Inc. 5000” list of fastest growing private companies in America. With a drive to continually evolve the company and a focus on delivering the most creative and effective content possible, Brian has been able to grow both personally and professionally every step of the way. Outside of work he enjoys being with his family, music, movies, and finding inspiration everywhere, everyday.
Evan enjoys helping brands find and tell real stories that matter to people. His M.O. is equal parts playful, experimental, and diligent, and he is committed to “save the world from boring videos.” He began his career at ABC’s 20/20 and has spent the last 12 years with NYC based film & production companies producing award-winning content. When he’s not working, he enjoys reading, biking, documentaries, and yoga.
Nick is an award-winning video producer and editor with experience in documentaries, feature films, and hip-hop themed supercuts. In addition to being the post production lead at TANE, Nick’s proudest independent filmmaking accomplishment is directing Oscar winner Martin Landau in his short film, Eyes. He has an uncomfortably powerful love for Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, and spends his free time collecting original artwork inspired by the film, which he proudly displays in a home gallery dubbed “The Shrine-ing.”
Forget about the statues, Sevita has an award-winning attitude! With a background in the non-fiction TV world of crime and science documentaries, Sevita is thrilled to now be working in the digital video content world. She’s dedicated to telling stories and is inspired by honesty, “Honesty is what makes us laugh and cry and what makes a good story”. Outside of work, she enjoys The Bar Method, sweets, cooking and composting – in fact, she started the composting program at Tane.
Brandon is a natural tinkerer and TANE’s resident MacGyver, barely concealing his burning desire to disassemble everything in sight just to put it back together. Some say he was born wearing a black button up shirt and it is rare to catch him in anything but. His wide array of eccentric interests includes an obsessive passion for synthesizers, pinball, and dollar pizza.
Hiroshi is a multi award-winning motion graphic artist and editor, originally from Hirosaki, Japan. He is a self-proclaimed workaholic and as legend has it, needs less than 3 hours of sleep a night, typically squeezed in between After Effects renders. In addition to working with TANE for over a decade, Hiroshi is a member of the Telly Award Silver Council, a Studio Voice Magazine award-winning filmmaker, and the Grand Prize winner of the 47th New York Film Festival Trailer Competition.
Gina is fascinated by the power of editing. In fact, she spent the better part of her time at Columbia University encouraging her fellow film majors to watch SAW for the cutting instead of the bleeding. Whether it’s a mini-documentary, sizzle reel, or brand video, Gina brings her special mix of instinct, diligence, and style to every project. In addition to being a huge horror film fan, Gina enjoys cooking and stand-up comedy.
It’s a tattoo artist! It’s a musician! No, it’s Garrett Danz (spoiler alert: he’s a filmmaker). Garrett first picked up a video camera as a child, creating makeshift music videos on VHS by forcing his friends to lip-sync Backstreet Boys. Fast forward a few years, he found himself on set in Los Angeles directing award winning artists to lip-sync their own songs. Garrett’s passion for creating content has taken him to 46 of the 50 United States, often calling the road his home. Now, planted in NYC, his passion lies in creating commercial content and checking off those last 4 states.
Sean got his start in video at a young age while attending filmmaking camps at the University of Rhode Island where he later became an instructor. Sean went on to earn a certificate of study from Rhode Island School of Design and graduated from Columbia College Chicago. Passionate about the art of visual storytelling, he finds great satisfaction in using his skills in motion graphics design and video editing to produce a unique and quality product. Outside of work Sean’s interests include writing, playing musical instruments, and improv comedy.
